Based on psychometric studies following the validation of ICRA-A Battery, and taking into account the scores obtained, cutting values and percentiles, three degrees of severity (Slight – Moderate – Severe) could be established in connection with pragmatic delay and alteration profiles.
Such degrees are obtained by considering the overall score of
Instrument 1 “Analysis and Record of Speech Acts”:
Degree 1: Slight (score between 127 and 143);
Degree 2: Moderate (score between 99 and 126);
Degree 3: Severe (score 98 or lower).
With a score of 144 the child is considered to have the minimum pragmatic development expected for 2.5 years old, that is, he/she has the basic resources to open “minimum circuits” of interaction with verbal and nonverbal resources.
